Linwood Wedding

Linwood Township is a township in Anoka County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 4,668 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 93.0 km (35.9 mi). 86.4 km (33.4 mi) of it is land and 6.6 km (2.5 mi) of it (7.05%) is water.

As of the census2 of 2000, there were 4,668 people, 1,578 households, and 1,292 families residing in the township. The population density was 54.0/km (139.9/mi). There were 1,662 housing units at an average density of 19.2/km (49.8/mi). The racial makeup of the township was 97.45% White, 0.30% African American, 0.39% Native American, 0.30% Asian, 0.11% Pacific Islander, 0.13% from other races, and 1.33% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.20% of the population.

There were 1,578 households out of which 44.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 70.8% were married couples living together, 6.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.1% were non-families. 13.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 2.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.95 and the average family size was 3.22.
